Creating a Safe & Respectful Workplace

Most workplaces are used to taking care of managing physical risks in the workplace – for example, making sure their team members wear PPE, that they aren’t on a roof without a harness, that the electrical items get test and tagged.

Last year, a business owner’s responsibility now also includes taking all reasonable steps to eliminate or minimise the risk of WHS hazards including sexual harassment. This is also known as a positive, proactive duty to prevent sexual harassment, rather than waiting for incidents to occur.

As a business owner, do you understand your legal responsibilities and are you comfortable to have a courageous conversation about sexual harassment?

Listen to Megan share with Jolly @ MaxFM 1073 information about the positive duty obligations and the up coming PeopleKnowHow Workshop on 15 May 2024 that will cover your obligations in further detail with three guest speakers to assist.
